I used to think I was terrified of line drawings, because you better be good handling ink pens on the go. Every stroke stands out loud and clear for everyone to critique or admire. Thankfully, I escaped the guillotine.
Here, the depth is illustrated by hashing, which I thoroughly had fun doing. I was so hooked on wet on wet, that I had completely ignored other art forms until my teacher threw me this suggestion of doing a line drawing using gel pens.
Since I could not stop admiring my first brush with this art form, I decided to get carried away with these beautiful stark, rich black lines over a white background and went on to convert three of my pencil sketches into line drawings.
